Fatal shooting In Chicago City in the 800 block of North Avers Avenue in the city's East Garfield Park neighborhood

A 25-year-old man was found unresponsive in a car, police said. He had been shot multiple times in the chest, abdomen and legs and was dead on the scene.

At 1:20 a.m., two people were shot in Wicker Park, said Chicago Police spokesman Officer Hector Alfaro, citing preliminary information.

They were near the intersection of Paulina Street and Milwaukee Avenue when they were shot, and both were taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital. No further information was immediately available.

At 12:45 a.m., a 22-year-old man was shot in Chatham, Alfaro said.

He was at a gas station in the 7800 block of South State Street when someone in a green van fired shots. He was shot in the foot and taken to Saint Bernard Hospital. His condition was stabilized.

At 11:30 p.m., a 24-year-old woman was shot in Little Village, Alfaro said.
